This role is critical in ensuring the smooth handling of digital records and documentation.

Position Summary

The Data Entry Typist will be responsible for entering text and numerical data from source documents into databases, spreadsheets, and other digital formats. The ideal candidate will possess fast and accurate typing skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality and precision in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately type and enter data from paper documents, electronic files, or voice recordings into digital systems

  • Review and verify entered data for completeness and accuracy

  • Identify and correct errors using appropriate quality control procedures

  • Organize and maintain files, records, and documentation for easy retrieval

  • Follow established data entry procedures and company protocols

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times

  • Assist in generating reports, summaries, or data lists as needed

  • Collaborate with team members to support administrative or clerical tasks

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)

  • Proven experience in data entry, typing, or clerical work

  • Typing speed of 50+ words per minute with a high level of accuracy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other data processing software

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

  • Strong communication skills and a professional attitude

  • Familiarity with office equipment, including scanners and printers, is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Office setting with extended periods of computer work

  • Repetitive hand movements and sitting for long durations

  • Occasionally lifting or moving files and office supplies (up to 20 lbs)
